1911 Grips: Hogue Wraparound Finger Grooves

What do you think about these grips? I just ordered them from Midway. They are Hogue Coco Bolo grips with wraparound finger grooves. Any one else use them?

I've been thinking about getting just the rubber finger grooves for my loaded. I like the factory grips and don't want to change them but I held a gun with the finger grooves and I liked the way it felt.

I dont like the bulk that they add to the 1911 grip but thats my own opinion.

I like rubber grips, but not on such a sexy gun (a SA 1911-A1 Loaded SS).

I have a hogue slip on grip for my XD-SC9, which I carry everywhere.

A fine wood, such as Coco Bolo or Rosewood, is just amazing.

I have Pachmeyer wrap arounds on my 1911 Colt. I like them alot. But yes something is to be lost in the sex appeal with them.

Me too, but mine are work guns in subdued finishes. If I had a stainless gun I would porbably be looking at those grips as well.

Mine is a stainless , but I am not sure if I am going to keep it. Its very nice, but not a huge 1911 fan. The grips kinda look funny to me. But makes holding it very nice. I guess I just remember see all those old TV shows with wood grips on 1911's and stuff.

I'm still trying to decide if if I like the "look" or not. I am going to have to wait until my crossbreed comes in to see if it augments the conceal-ability. I am so used to my Hogue slip-on for my XD-SC9 that I just figured finger grips and the way to go.

It looks though as if the 1911 design looks a tad "revolver-ish" with finger grips, do you know what I mean? I may keep them or just get the front checkered.

I got the grips in today. They are Coco Bolo, but they look NOTHING like the one's pictured on the website. I wonder if they are even Coco Bolo wood. I contacted Hogue to see what they are going to say or do.

I would love to get the front strap checkered but I have a park'd gun and I don't think that would look right since the finish won't be uniform.
