I love it when newbies say something stupid and then everyone blasts them. It brings us together like a family reunion.

Hey now...everyone needs at least one Colt 1911...to sit in their safe and gain value...like me. Colts are pretty and somebody somewhere is always willing to pay more for an old 1911 if it has a pony on it.

The Kimbers, Springers and others are for shooting and carrying...my Colts sit in the safe and gather value.

Or...you COULD avoid the whole 1911, spring ,extractor, ejector, parts swap, troubleshooting song and dance and just buy a SIG P220 if you have to have a single stack 45 that MUST work every time. Yeah, I hate to break it to you but when it hits the fan and I want a 45, the P220 is coming with me and the Colts are staying locked in the safe.

(been there)

Post count and join date doesn't have anything to do with being a newbie. Newbie is a state of mind.
