Suggest a holseter for a Springfield micro compact

A buddy of mine is selling me his SF micro compact. Can anyone suggest a IWB leather holster?

I will be using this as my CCW.

Larry do your holsters allow for easy reholstering while in place or do they collapse after the draw? Also do the clips lock to the belt or is there a chance that the holster will come out with the gun? I currently use a Desantis Cozy Partner with my full sized 1911 but would like to try a holster that rides lower on the belt for summer carry with the 1911.

The 1911 is a classy gun so I'd go with a classy holster, KD for me. I actually want to order one for my 1911. Milt Sparks makes some good holsters too.

I'm going to try one of Houseboat's holsters, and will report back on quality, function and comfort ASAP.

I received the Gun Works IWB Holster today, At first just looking at It I wasnt totaly blown away,After tucking it in and wearing it for a while I must admit it is at least as comfortable as my trusty, crusty Desantis Cozy Partner and this from a new not broken in holster, and the cant is adjustable for pretty much any style of draw and could also be adjusted for a cross draw for those that spend alot of time behind the wheel. I showed it to my training Sargent and think I've sold him on one also. Quality product, thanks Larry.

i had bought a crossbreed IWB holster for my fullsize, and then when i got an officers size to carry off duty, the same holster works great. you might consider that, since its an open end, it will fit any size of 1911.

very comfortable too!!!

+1 to that.

Although it's not a direct comparison...I just took delivery of my KD 'Dakota Defender' (wait time 4 mos.) for my XD45 Compact "4 barrel. Once I'm able to carry (moving in a few mos. from NY to SC) it was going to be my carry piece.

http://kdholsters.com/iwb-defend.php

While waiting for that to arrive, I bought a Galso NSA II for my Kimber Pro CDP (4" barrel, full-sized frame):

http://tacticalproductsgunholsters.s...alconsaii.html

I've gotta say, as beautiful of a piece the KD Dakota Defender is....the Galco holds my 1911 nice and tight to me, is less bulky and seems just as secure as the KD as far as holding the pistol, not moving around, etc (and the Galco only has 1 clip at the rear). The NSA has a great foward-cant which is also the way I set the KD, although the KD is more adjustible as far as it allows you to pivot and adjust the 'clips' for length, etc.

I've adjusted the KD a million which ways and it's fine....but as far as concealability, I might have to say the Galco NSA II wins, but I'd have to compare it to one of KD's 1911 holsters. The XD is definitely a 'thicker' gun...so the 1911's svelteness is likely also adding to the equation.
