do they make this for the 1911's... i didnt a search and came up with nothing....

I am not definite, but i would guess its highly unlikely because of the way the magazines are constructed.



Notice the cut in the magazine body between round 3 and 4. Thats the place that the mag release rests. when the release is pressed it moves to the right and releases the mag. It would be tough to get that to work from the other side.

If you're left handed try practicing releasing the magazine with your index finger.

Most ambi mag releases do require some frame modification. So, it's not a drop in part.
