For concealed carry there is 2 schools of thought, 1 is small and wicked which that little Colt falls into the other is big and shiney which draws attention to the pistol. I like both and have guns for all special occasions. Nice pistol. Now go out and get yourself a Pimp gun.

I had one when they first came out & regret having sold it. They're good guns & you don't see used ones very often. The only problem they have is the recoil spring plug breaking & launching the spring but there are inexpensive aftermarket fixes for that.

I'm curious, how many rounds did your recoil spring plug last before it broke and launched the spring? And which after-market part did you replace it with?

Nice Colt, where did you get the custom grips?

The gun was brand new & it was less than 1K rounds when the little tit broke off the spring plug. I bought an Ed Brown guide rod & plug for it that required a little machining ( or filing but my local smith at the time only charged $15 to machine it) to provide clearance for the flange of the plug. I also eliminated the factory double spring set up. Brown doesen't seem to have these anymore but King's Gun Shop sells a similar set up.
