But I've been up for 17 hours and brain is not working well.

On the form from Springfield there is a choice of 7 or 10 round single stack magazines for the 1911 series.

I'm guessing that the 10 round mags will work in a standard 1911 but just stick out from the butt of the pistol a bit.

If this is correct does anyone have a picture so I can get an idea how much??

i use the power mags and have no issues....the ten rounders are used for limited 10 division in IPSC, otherwise i use 8 rounders for carry or single stack division.

I wouldn't use the 10 round magazine for CCW. I use 10 round magazines for IPSC Limited 10 class. You would most likely have to special order the Springfield to come with the 10 round magazine. Probably 99.1% of the existing inventory that is out there probably have the 7 round magazine.
