Magwell pics, anybody care to share?
I'm thinking about adding a magwell, nothing huge like the competition wheelbarrow looking ones, just something clean looking that works well.
Any suggestions and pics? My government model is stainless and I've only ever shot 1911s with flat MSHs...I guess I'm flexible though.

I have the S&A mag guide on my 1911, it looks great and does the job.

I also have a S&A but mine has the arched mainspring housing. I'm so happy with it that I plan to upgrade my other 3 1911's.

About the magwells…I see versions where it hooks onto the lower grip screws
(under $30) and models where it’s attached to the MSH (around $75+)… I did take a look at the S&A site… Are the models where it's attached to the MSH recommended?

Thats what mine is, I actually have one of the Wilsons that hooks on the lower grip bushings and it works good, just doesnt look as good as the S&A.

Built this 5 or so years ago and can't say for sure, but IIRC the magwell ia by S&A
It is a 2 piece that bolts to the matching MSH.

If it's one that hooks on the grip screws...how does it also have a MSH? The ones I've seen that hook on, it's only the beveled magwell.

I have one off a 1911 that I did not put back on. I am not sure of the manufacturer, but was told it is a Wilson. You are welcome to it if you want it.

Kimber flat MSH/Magwell I recently installed to replace the stock plastic MSH after ~8 years of use. Its not 'blended' yet and I still need to change grips but it works fine and looks acceptable "as is."
