NEW STI EDGE Range Report.
Well its in and I love it.
This is a 1.8 inch off hand group fired at 25 yards. I fired this group right after I sighted the gun. I shot it today at a USPSA match and it never missed a beat. I ordered the gun from Dawson with 8 tuned mags. I am very happy with my purchase. I screwed up my second stage today by failing to engage a target but I still earned 6th place in the shoot. I really liked having 18 rounds on tap instead of 11 when I shot limited 10. Pat

Nice edge... but if your shootin .40, you must be only counting a couple of those shots in your 1.8" group... otherwise thats more like a 3.25" group... I'm thinkin your just counting the 3 shot group on the left side of the target... am i right??

No that is a 1.8 inch group for all 5 shots. Look at the calipers. Akpredator was a witness to the shooting. Pat

Groups are supposed to be measured from the center for the bullet hole. The two shots furthest away from each other are measured. You don't measure from the outside of the bullet diameter. Because if you did you could never shoot less than .5 moa with a 50 caliber weapon for example. Just a little gun trivia for you. 1.8 is about half of what you estimated. Where did you come up with over 3 inches? Pat

Nice gun, now get a trigger job done and you will REALLY fall in love with it. I think my STI trigger is down aroun 1 1/2- 1 3/4 lbs now.
