Aight. I put 20 % down on the 1911. It turns out its a Mil-Spec with the following features (some existing, some added): Skeleton trigger, lightweight skeleton hammer, extended mag catch release, Novack lookin' trijicon night sites, Micarta grips, lowered and flared ejection port, 1 black magazone and 2 silver magazines with plastic baseplates, and the original SA green box with foam cut-outs for the pistol and mags. $529

"Made in Brazil"???? Really? OK, I know that some of the Springfield models are both 100% made and assembled in Brazil. I know some are "made" in Brazil and "Assembled" in the USA. But I haven't seen one that is stamped with the Made In Brazil on it. I'll have to take a closer look at my buddy's GI since that one I know is 100% Brazilian.

Let me go take a look at mine...

Nope, no stamping on it. I know mine has Brazilian parts and what % of it was made/assembled here I dont know but it's not stamped. I dont remember my buddy's GI being stamped either but will look next time I see it. I do know that it came with a tag labeled "Made in Brazil" since I was there when he bought it.

Anyways, if the price is good and the gun's in good shape, then go for it. I have yet to hear of a Springfield being a disappointment. They're just as good as the others since it's one of the major brands.
