s&w 1911

i've owned my 1911 for 3 years, never a problem probably one of the finest 1911s i've owned. mine has the ambidextrous safety, match trigger -barrel very accurate and it is definately a nail driver without being a wrist breaker.

I love kimbers as for it was my understanding they were supposed to be some of the best. I know several people who swear by them and carry them every day.

I know I want to buy my first 1911 but unsure what to buy. I have also heard that the old kimber models were very good guns and the problem seems to be with the new models.....I too need help
FWIW....I haven't had one single FTF/FTE malfunction in 1,500 rounds (during or after break-in) with my 2 month old Kimber Pro CDP II using the following ammo:

1. Winchester White Box 230 gr FMJ
2. Blazer Brass 230 gr FMJ
3. Magtech 230 gr FMJ
4. Independence 230 gr FMJ
5. Federal HST 230 gr JHP
6. Remington Golden Sabre 185 gr JHP
7. Speer Gold Dot 185 gr JHP
8. Winchester SXT 230 gr JHP

I must have purchased the 1-in-50,000 produced last year that actually works (rolling my eyes)
