I really like my Kimbers. I won't for a moment think that I can speak for all Kimbers, but mine have been top notch both in accuracy and reliable. Judging from my experience alone you've picked a great sidearm.

I saw an add for this 1911 in a gun magazine. It looked really ugly but I figured out why. The color of the frame didnt come out right in the ad. Then I saw one in my local Cabelas and I really really like it! Its a different look from the other Kimbers and it just looks neat to me anyway. I like the color scheme and the CTC grips. Good pick.

Kimber SS Custom Target II 10mm.... Took my K-baby out of the box... cleaned it... took it to the range and but 100 rds through it... not one problem..... cleaned it. That was a week ago.... yesterday but 200 rds through it.... no problems... and cleaned it. Shooting 200, 155 and 185 bullets through it. The manual states 300-500 rds to break it in. There can be no doubt that Kimber of yours is totally messed up. In order to save you any further embarrassment or conflict with the members or your friends, I'll relieve you of the burden of that weapon and make sure it gets what it has coming.
