SA 1911 EMP 9mm

Anybody seen the new 1911 style EMP 9mm pistola? I am intrigued by the info on Springfields website, but it is rather limited.

http://www.americanhandgunner.com/FTR0707.html check that out.

I have it, love it. Easy to carry, shoots nice - accurate like a 1911 should be, and looks very cool. High level of craftsmanship for a production gun. I only had one downside, easily remedied - no checkering on the front strap, which I want for quick draw with good grasp, so I put grip tape on it. Uglifies it a little, but I wanted the functionality.

My local gunshop/range has one. It's very small (to me), could be very easily concealed (on me), and seemed nice overall. However, it had a mag release issue and had to be returned to be fixed. I took my normal grip on the pistol (very high ride grip) and extended out my trigger finger...the tip of my finger was about .5-.75in from the end of the muzzle (just FYI, I'm 6'2" and 200lbs with large hands/long fingers). Haven't shot one, but would give it a try if given the opportunity.

Thanks for the Amer. Handgunner review link. Very helpful. Makes me want to handle one all the more.

I handled one in a gun shop in Idaho. Probably the nicest built non-custom handgun I have seen.

I have one and love it. Out of all the gun I have owned this has to be my farorite.
The sad part is I have my EMP up for sale. Right now it is on consignment at the local gun shop. It is about 8 months old. I have only 600 rounds through it. I'm looking to get $800 for it with 3 extra mags. Still has all the godies that it came with even the coupons where you can get specials prices on Springfiels stuff.

If anybody is interested in it PM me and we will get eh ball rolling.

Have one and love it. It's light, tight, and easily concealable. It will probably become my new carry piece once I get some more range time with it.

My local gunshop says that haven't been able to get one in a while and don't know when. Is SA in limited production or just not keeping up with demand?
