How much is my Ultra Compact 45 worth?

I've offered my son my Ultra Compact because I've switched to the higher capabity XD45. However, his wife is pretty anti and he may turn down the freebie. If that happens, what is a good price for a very good condition Ultra Compact in 45 acp?
This is not an offer for sale, although that may come later.
Thanks.

Was your Mom at a Stones concert in 1968?

Son! It's really you! Where have you been all these years?

Thumbs up

Good solid Loaded UC? $700 would be a steel if it is in like new condition. Hard as hell to find, SA ain't coming off of any more any time soon either. I love mine, awesome shooter. Very accurate, very tight frame fit, and the recoil is much more forgiving than a XD45. My XD seems very rattled in comparison. I say keep it, this one will be worth something in a few years.

I second the "keep it" option. While you have opted for the higher capacity in the XD45, you can always use a good BUG (back up gun) or just a nice, reliable, single stack .45 for plinkin' at the range. Yes, I know, .45 ACP isn't much of a "plinkin'" round due to $$, but still... Keep it. If you give it or sell it to anyone other than family, I bet you'll regret it.

my $.02
