I see your points, especially about the "smart guns". I still say if an integral lock is a problem, unlock it and destroy the keys. Problem solved. I've got integral lock on my taurus revolver. The keys are in the box that the gun came with and have never been used. No problem there.

I agreed with you throw the keys away if they offend you. If one needs to vent, vent to your congressman they're the cause of the problem.
