1911 Magazines

I thought I saw someone posted a comparison for all the magazines available for 1911s but could not find them.

It shows different kind of followers.

If someone could help please.

Thank you in advance.

I had the same question a few days ago myself.

Is this what you're looking for?

The funny thing about magazines is a large majority of them are the same magazine with a different company logo stamped on them. Act magazines and Mecgar magazines are 2 companies that put many different logos onto their magazines.

Not the Wilson mags, I wouldn't think!

I only mentioned 2 companies. Wilson and Chip MC power mags are the best for the money. Any reason to pay more is kind of silly. People have been using these mags for years with no problems. What some people don't seem to realize is just having the mags doesn't save you. Just like pistols they need regular cleaning and preventative maintenence. Personally I keep several magazine springs on hand. New followers are not a bad idea either.

Not exactly what I'm looking for, but this is BETTER!

I was actually looking for the one about how CMC mags harm your aluminum framed 1911s.

Just remember, there is no reason to put cheap mags into a a quality gun. In the frearms arena, you ussually get what you pay for. Whats your life worth if you do use a cheap mag?

I usually stick to Wilson 47Ds in my 1911s, but recently, I bought a Wolff magazine and it is stellar in my Combat Commander. 3-100 rd WWB boxes of hardball and not one hiccup.

The Wolffs are nice looking, drop free and are very well put together. A good alternative to Wilson or CMC, if you ask me. I paid about 20 bucks for and and could not be happier.
