detonics

i just want to recomend the detonics line of 1911's.

they reek of quality and are price competitive. all american parts, no mim parts.

bushingless, using a cone type barrel they take down easier than most 1911 type pistols.

very solid guns.

next on my list.

I thought they were out of business?? I had a detonics back in the 70's and it was a horrible POS, jamming on everything I tried to feed it. Accuracy horrible too! I traded it for a .357 Colt Trooper which was my carry gun for years until I went back to auto's. I'll do a search for their website.

Jerry Ahern (the guy who wrote the "The Survivalist" series)
bought the rights and hired a bunch of the original people and resurrected it about 4 years ago.
I've ALMOST bought one a couple of times.
