Alright, I am moving to the great state of Arizona in 30 days. I am going to get my CCW and am looking at two diffrent 1911's 1. Springfield Loaded Ultra Compact(stainless). 2. Springfield Loaded Compact(Champion)also in stainless. I am assuming that the Ultra is a good choice but I have very large hands and I know the Compact has a full size grip. Anyone have trouble with the Compact printing? I 'am 6'1" 200lbs. Will this make it easier to hide that extra bit of grip? At the same time I heard the Ultra is very finicky. Also, what is the best way to carry the Compact? I'm thinking just behind the hip. Thanks in advance!!
Guy

You and I are about the same size (not enough of a difference to even note) and I've always been satisfied with a Commander sized 1911 for CCW. Easy to tuck and hide, still has a long enough barrel for good accuracy. So, given the 2 pistols you mentioned, I'd go with a Champion. I've used IWB and OWB pancake style holsters, I actually preferred the OWB style and it was still easy to conceal (though not in warm weather).

Well, Hawaii has a ton of traffic and I miss the small town feel. It also has seasons in Wiliams unlike Hawaii where you can never tell what month of the year it is. You get island fever quick. I have been here four years and I am ready to go back to the main land.
