Please reccomend a CCW 1911...........

I know NOTHING about 1911 pistols other than the pure beauty of them. I have decided to purchase one but need much direction from you guys. The only thing that is important to me is that be easy to conceal and comfortable to carry. I will not own a gun that is difficult to conceal. Price doesn't matter so go ahead and sound off. Thanks!

I carry a Para Ordnance C 7-45 with the LDA (Light double action) trigger.
The trigger is like a hot knife through warm butter...smoothest thing you'll ever stroke.(as far as a trigger goes, anyway!)

It is a little pricey in the low to mid $700's, but well worth it. Many 1911's are a bit heavy, but they are slim and carry so well, that the weight does not seem to show up that much.

I have been eyeing the new Springfield EMP in 9mm as well, that is one sweet little gun. I have heard nothing but good things about it.

Look at Commander and Officers styles in any maker you choose. Commander is approx 4 to 4 1/4 length barrel with fukk size grip and officers is same length with a little shorter grip which is the hard part to conceal. Might consider a Lightweight Commander, not as fun to shoot but a joy to carry.

Enjoying my XD .45ACP Tactical. need to break in my 870, and my wife's XDSC9.

I carry my XD45 ACP Tactical, in a SuperTuck from CB. Very comfortable, easy to hide, easy to draw, and easy to reholster.

Looking for an HDR*, either an AR-180B, or Kel-Tec FBR.

HDR, Homeland Defense Rifle

WOW! I thought I would be looking at alot more $$$ than that! I will go check out the Para website and get the specs.

Kimbers look awfully nice but I have read some negative things about them. I know any weapon can and will malfunction but it seems excessive with the Kimbers.

I agree I would not trust a 1911 with a barrel shorter than 4" and I also would avoid Para Ord like the plague, they have major quality issues.I do however feel that a CCW is about the perfect size for a concealable 1911.
