Springer Precision rulz! Check out my improved RIA 1911

So last year I got my RIA 1911 and I loved it. A real shooter. Problem was that I am left handed and I kept getting hammer bit. So I send it off to Springer Precision for some upgrades. First photo is its original condition. The next two are the improvements. Commander Hammer, Beavertail grip safety, Ambi-thumb safety and new trigger all from Wilson Combat.

I also had the trigger lightened to 4.5 pounds. Wow what a difference. As soon as I get a chance, off to the range I go...

Very nice upgrades!

Scott does some good work. Just shipped him one of my XDs tonight for a work-up.

I am not digging that new trigger, as it seems to cover 50% of the opening. Is it me, or is the trigger shoe too far forward? If that is what you asked for, nevermind.

O,

It will be much more fun once you get to shoot it

OS,

That's the one he wanted, and actually the trigger is easier to shoot on the small model rather than the short trigger, ergonomics

I can't wait to get it out to the range. Thanks again Scott. You rock!

That definitely looks like a long trigger, but if that's what fits the hand then that's best. My hands are big but I have short fingers so I like short triggers. Definitely some nice touches on it, looks good.

I see a rock or two in my future that I will customize myself.

So your trigger is significantly better than it was for the year before you sent it? I am considering asking Scott to do some work on my Armscor:
