Good 1911 CCW holster

Well in the next 2 or 3 weeks im going to be applying for my CCW and my weapon of choice is gonna be a 1911 untill the end of the year when I hope to find a nice bersa thunder 9 or 380 to use. I plan to get a fanny pack along with a holster.

Anyone care to recommend a decent and inexpensive 1911 holster?

Desantis Cozy Partner IWB, most comfortable reasonably priced holsters I have ever owned.

I too will be looking for a CCW holster for my Gov't. I don't see a Crossbreed "ST" (unless that stands for "Super Tuck") anywhere. Can someone point me to exactly what you're talking about?

Thanks!

I'm a fan of leather holsters. I think they are much more comfortable and they wear the finish on the gun much less than plastic ones. To each his own though.

I have a UBG holster that I got when they were 40.00, but even at 60.00 these are VERY comfortable custom made leather holsters. I can't tell I'm carrying with mine. I have the striker 1 with the clips as I don't always use a belt.:

I'm in line for one of these IN-CONSPICUOUS I.W.B. HOLSTER's from Garrity gunleather but it's a several month wait. Garrity is an excellent holster maker and this one is a good smaller clip in holster. I ordered it with sharkskin on the mouth strap/clop holster. I notice they have gone up 5.00 since I ordered.

For the price I think the Don Hume H715-m is a very good and comfortable holster. I have owned those for 2 different pistols and they are hard to beat for the price. They are not in the same league with the ones I mentioned above, but if price is an issue these are definitely worth even more than what they cost in my opinion. They are a great extra holster to have for a quick clip in with shorts or sweat pants.

I recently bought a DeSantis Speed Scabbard on e-bay in almost new condition for 30 bucks. Yeah...thats about half price.

This holster was for my 96F Beretta, but I have Speed Scabbards for my 225 SIG and 5" 1911s too and love these holsters.

If the Speed Scabbard design can hold big guns like the 96F Beretta and 5" 1911s in total comfort...they might work for you as well. Holds them high and tight but is VERY fast to draw from. A very high quality and good looking holster, too.

Do some digging around on e-bay. You too might find a 70 dollar holster for 30 bucks. Thats the first place I go when I am looking for new holsters. I usually get 30-50% off and nicer pieces than I would buy in the first place.

DeSantis holsters will spoil you.

I have a Milt Sparks Summer Special. The only thing I don't like about it is the loops aren't big enough for my massive 1 3/4" Wilderness Tactical Instructor Belt.

Oh, I was going to add the MIlt Sparks Watch six as a very good value at 67.00 and forgot it. That's a good price for one of the best holster makers in the business.
