Thinking about trading XD .45

Had my XD for 7 months. The idea of trading it for an SA Mil-Spec is really taking hold.

I want a 1911 type handgun and the Mil-Spec is my best option. Hard to justify having another .45.

Tell you what, CCWing the XD is comforting. 40 rounds of ACP is very soothing. Of course, 46 rounds or 9mm and 37 rounds or .40 have a similar effect on me.

Gotta kick this around for awhile.

Thanks for the idea.

I sold my xd45 because I like carrying a 1911 more. Much thinner and more comfortable to carry.

After 20 years in the Navy, I have a fondness for 1911's.

Gonna need a bigger safe.

Many years ago I unloaded a Colt Python. Still kicking my self for that one. Promised myself I'd never get rid of another handgun.

Of course, I said I'd never get rid of my first wife.

Gotta think this one thru.

Thanks.

i think if you try hard enough you can justify the need for both, higher capacity of the XD45 could come in handy some day.

cheers

I have 2 sig 226's that have become my primary carries. The XD has been relagated to bedside duty.

I'd feel better about keeping it if the price of ammo wasn't so high. Today, 9mm WWB 100 pacs jumped about $1.60. Blazer Brass .45's went up about a dollar.
