get one of those, get a smith to install(~$100) a fusion firing control group ($99) and look through it, then fire it look through again look for metal shavings and fix.
Skateboard tape (sheet for a lifetime costs $
umm smiley edit: 8 dollars. this goes on the front strap. Have to replace once in a while, easy to do, and the sheet is 1'X3' and will last forever. You can even buy rough medium and soft, and tailor it to your preferences, that costs an impressive $24.
IMO you will have a better gun then the one your looking at.
No factory line can produce a good 1911 trigger, that must be by a smith.
A loose gun (RIA) with high tier quality control (your gunsmith) makes the most reliable pistol possible, allows for dirt and such as well, add in a trigger you can't get on a gun for under $1800 and your in heaven, this way you get to choose the weight/pay an extra $20 and have a second trigger weight to choose from (carry and competition weights)
You don't need to do the work, but if your looking at spending over $1200 you have the money to spend 800 and have a perfect gun.
