ah thanks for the info. I usually prefer the nickel or hard chrome look in comparison to the darker look but that one looks good and definitely worth 568 if it runs good which I assume it will those RIA are pretty tough

I really want a 1911, and the rock islands are a price point I could make happen, but the large stamping/roll marks on the slide just suck. I don't see why they can't make it without them.

Wow!
This the first RIA Tactical I've seen.
Impressive for the price.

You could use a wood block and some sand paper to take off the rollmark. Then do a cerakote or gunkote in black or whatever color you like.

Thanks for the comment guys
Yeah it was a pretty good deal for $568 I got it online from Buds and had it transferred to my LGS.
In regards to the roll marks, i really don't want to duracoat/cerakote it... I really want to mantain the factory look without the huge roll marks on the side. I might try the perma blue or flat black to see which one matches better the finish on the slide.
Ill post some pics after i take it to the range this weekend

Sweet gun I really like the look of the VZ grips. How does the VZ grips feel in your hands? I am thinking about getting a set for my 1911

I just know you'll get bored with it shortly and you can send it my way.
No charge.....
