Thanks, some folks REALLY don't like the Rock Island Armory guns, I have found them to be good values for the $$. For me they make a good starting point for a build up. Especially since only them and SPringfield are currently turning out 38 Super guns. Finished, that gun cost me less than a Springfield 38 Super would have as a base.

For a .45. I'd go with a used Springfield and go from there. For a .38, RIA all the way.

Well I finally got pics of mine. The SS is my new Champion, had it less than a week. The Mil Surp is a hand down from my grandpa he a NM trigger and barrel put in and had to swap the sights due to breaking one on duty years ago, although I dont know why he put adjustables on it.
