Since I can't post a pic, due to computer illiteracy, if anyone is interested, the can click on this link to invssgt's site he furnished in the "New 1911 page" thread. http://www.thesixgunjournal.net/1911articles.html

If you click on the SA milspec, you will see a pic and a story about the gun. I bought if from him about a hear ago and love it. As you will read, he tweaked it a bit and it has a really nice TRP SS barrel.

He gave me instructions on how to do the pic, but I couldn't do it. If someone has the knowledge and desire, you have my permission and his to copy the pic ONLY and transfer it here. His story is his and not to be reprinted w/o his permission. Thanks.

Thank you very much jcrich, I appreciate that. One of these years I might figure out how to do that.....nah, I might as well admit it, I never will.

I have those grips also, but the wood grips he purchased are on the gun now. I can highly recommend anyone doing business with him.

xd40 service, SA GI with some goodies, and my new Kimber TLE/RL II

SA GI, goodies include wilson combat flgr, houge grips, egw reverse recoil spring plug and pre fit thick bushing, trijicon colt govt. night sights.

and the 2 1911's. the SA looks a little rough, but cleans up good. it is my daily carry right now.

Custom parts from Wilson, McCormick, Ed Brown, Nowlin, King's include:

ALL trigger parts (4.25lb match trigger), thumb safety, guide rod, most springs, sights, mags

All fitting and refinishing by yours truly.

I just picked up this Springfield Ultra Compact today. In a couple of days I'll see what it likes to feed on. Heavy little bugger...
