Yes it is and 3 Original contract mags, there's only one thing "wrong" with it and that's the mother of all idiot marks, the arced scratch on the slide, but the other than that it's parkerization is perfect.

It belonged the navigator of a B17, shot down over Germany near the end of the war. It was a shame he was selling it, but he said he had no one to pass it onto that would be interested in having it, he was cursed with anti daughters.

Colt Combat Commander

My favorite carry gun, a late-1990s Combat Commander in stainless.

A MKIV Series 70 with Birdsong Black T finish.

And a couple of shots of its little brother, a Series 70 Commander, also in Black T (I resurrected both guns from hard use by previous owners.)

Hey, if your wife ever decides that she's tired of that Series 1 CDP, let me know... I have a Series 2, but like the more extreme melt on the 1... Nice collection! Makes me want to post more of mine... LOL!

Actually, because of the extreme melt job, we had to change the thumb safety, the Kimber was dropped and landed muzzle first, the melt on the rear of the slide was soooo extreme that it was able to squeeze in between the thumb safety and the slide, freezing the gun in a condition out of battery.

Part of the problem was the melt job, the other was the MIM thumb safety, we replaced the thumb safety with a Wilson ambi and have not been able to replicate the problem.

As for selling it? No way, I was lucky to find that one when her pre series II Ultra Carry in .40 had to go to EGW to get fixed. I actually found this one after 3 days of looking. It's going no were any time soon.

Thanks for the compliments on the collection, I just wish I had some of the ones I've sold off. I miss some of my Para's, my pre series II Kimber CDP Compact, and my satin nickel pre series 80 Colt Combat Commander.

I'm looking at adding another Commander sized gun to replace my TRS as my EDC, but I'm having trouble deciding what I want.

I've been looking at the Sig GRS revolution as they are all steel, 0 MIM, but I've been hearing too many horror stories. I'm thinking that I see a TRS hard chrome Comanche in my future.
