my recent pick up

This is a discussion on my recent pick up within the M1911 forums, part of the Other Handgun Talk category; i think the look of this is an "hate it or love it" look as many dont like the maple grips i LOVE this gun ...

my recent pick up
i think the look of this is an "hate it or love it" look as many dont like the maple grips

i LOVE this gun


and to stay true to Springfield - my "loaded" model

SIG is making some awful pretty guns. Their new Tac Ops is slick.

Sweet, Sig really is making great looking 1911's and I can't find anyone to say anthing bad about them. I'd really love a Nightmare, either full size or carry.

How does the Sig compare with the SA?

i had the local sig armorer put an Ed Brown trigger in that gun - and it's a smoother shoot than the SA Loaded...but not by much

Nice. You have good gun taste.

I've been 1911 drooling for some time now but I want my next one to be special. I was looking S&W E series or Sig Nightmare, but the guys on this forum have been telling me to get a Dan Wesson Guardian (or if planets align and I can afford it a VBOB). So now I'm down to 3 possibilities and all that is missing is money. I've even thought of selling another gun to help fund the new one but I hate doing that - when I buy a gun if I like it I don't every get rid of it.

ha - yeah i took that picture with my iphone at the gun counter - i trashed that as soon as the paperwork was signed
