Hardchromed RRA and STI Legacy on their way back home

Chris at Metaloy has done it once again. He's the best in the biz. Dropped off my RRA and Legacy awhile back at his shop and they'll be being picked up tomorrow. Had him do a few other things other than just hardchrome them. RRA got a new tritium front sight, recessed/flush cut slide stop and flush crowned barrel. The STI Legacy got a Wilson fiber optic front sight, ambi safety removed and Wilson BP single side safety installed, Wilson Speed Chute magwell, recessed/flush cut slide stop, slim grip bushings and flush crowned barrel.

The STI will be getting a new set of pretty wooden thin grips, but I had Chris take a pic of it with the original grips and black grip screws. I'll be picking it up with a set of hardchromed slim bushing grips screws.

Those are stunning. He did a great job. Those are some sweet grips on the RIA BTW.

Thanks, but...RIA? That ain't no Rock Island. That's a Rock River. HUGE difference between a RIA and a RRA.

Ha. I read it was RIA first too....I was wondering why in the hell anyone would bother getting one hard chromed...

Joe, how many freakin' 1911's do you own? I'm thinking it'd take a nice aerial shot to capture the whole gang.

Here they are the day I dropped them off.

Sunlight playing havoc with the STI Legacy that day. Here's a better pic.
