47D not seating in my Fusion 1911 Build

Just as the title says, I just finished building my Fusion 1911 T-Comm bobtail. I was testing out mags and the new 47D that I purchased just does not want to lock in to the mag release and stay in the gun. It seems that the top of the basepad is contacting the bottom of the front strap and preventing a full lockup. I also purchased the metal slim basepad for the mag and that doesn't work either.

I was also having problems with my Tripp Cobra mags, which work perfectly in my Spartan, so I am not sure if it is a gun frame issue or a mag issue. The only mag that actually works perfectly in the Fusion is the ACT mag that came with my Spartan.

I am wondering if I should file the top of the basepad down a little or shave the frontstrap a little bit.

Any advice????

send it back to who did the Bob and have them make it right. I think something is wrong with the frame. Unless you did it then I would shorten the frame as it's not good to have a SD gun that a standard mag would not work it

basically yeah frames out of spec I'd be mad unless I did it then I'd be laughing at myself. put it beside a gun that doesn't have this issue compare part by part extractor height in relation to the magazine, slide stop location, magazine catch, trigger bow and frame height figure out exactly what piece is out of spec.
