Thinking of trading full size to compact
I held an ATI 1911 Titan Officer's model today and damn it felt good in my hand. I am thinking of getting a compact 1911 and carry that for awhile.

Any suggestions on a compact 1911? Advantages? disadvantages?

I currently carry an XDM compact in 9mm, but now I am seeing an appeal to a compact 1911.

Thoughts anyone?

I have a Springfield Armory Ultra Compact, Stainless, .45. I can honestly say I have no complaints. It's on the heavier side of 32 ounces, but you are also working with all steel parts. Some people argue against small frame 1911s, but I've honestly had no problems with the smaller frames.
