I don't think you're going to find a new SA Champion with Novak sights and a beavertail for that price.

I don't know anything about them, but it looks like a nice pistol.

If it is mil-spec, go ahead and get it. If for some reason it didn't run right out of the box you can doctor it up...or better yet, if it has a warranty, you can simply have it corrected under warranty!

Sooo, either way: Get it!

I have been doing some research on this, looks like the warranty is the same as Bersa, they start off by saying:

"All BERSA, AMERICAN CLASSIC and COMANCHE pistols and revolvers in need of service must be sent directly to one of our warranty repair centers listed below. Before you send a new Bersa in for repair please be sure to use standard ball ammunition during the break-in period (200-300 rounds). Proof of Purchase is required for all Comanche Revolvers and Super Comanche Pistols. Warranty work cannot begin without your proof of purchase for these models."

"METROARMS LIFETIME SERVICE CONTRACT
Upon the expiration of the one-year Warranty, and for as long as this METROARMS firearm is owned by the original purchaser, METROARMS offers to service and repair any defects or malfunction in this METROARMS firearm excluding the finish, grips, sights or magazine, without charge. Requests for service should be submitted in writing together with proof of purchase and the firearm (insurance and shipment prepaid by the purchaser) to an authorized service center identified on the enclosed list. Return shipment and insurance shall be paid by METROARMS provided the service is covered by this service contract.
This service contract is only extended to the original purchaser and shall be waived if the defect or malfunction was caused by neglect, abuse, careless handling, unauthorized ammunition, ordinary wear and tear, unreasonable use or failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance as set forth in the instruction manual."

I have not been able to find any info on it being "milspec" or not tho...but still looking. It seems to be in the price range of what I am seeing them going for, some less some more depending. Those that are priced less have a higher shipping cost and the higher cost ones have lower or free shipping. So the price seems to be a non-issue really. I would prefer a milspec pistol...unless I am mistaken, milspec makes finding parts for upgrades easier? Someone please correct me if I am wrong on my thinking on the milspec is incorrect...or for that matter, maybe a little explaination is in order anyway. I am about to hit the button on this to make the purchase but am still a little uncertain as I am not real familiar with the whole 1911 platform yet. The only one I have is an RIA, and love it...

I am yet to find a truly negitive review of this gun, other than the typical...the grips were too big, the trigger was too heavy type complaints...all of which are dependant on each persons preferance....

That's a fair price, however front grip serrations are nice when its hot and sweaty. Just something to consider.
