Congrats! I've had one for almost a year. You WILL love it.
Some things to know:
If they are still putting the 18.5 lb recoil spring in there from the factory, it takes a few range visits to loosen up. It's pretty stout at first. Although I think I read somewhere that they started using the standard 16 lb spring now. Can't be sure on that. But the 18.5 lb spring has never given me problems, even with some pretty weak range ammo. But if you are running anemic reloads, I am sure you may have a problem with the heavier spring.
The feed ramp and barrel throat are sort of half-polished. It's not a dull surface, nor is it a mirror shine – it's kind of somewhere in between. Some Flitz metal polish, some q-tips and about 15 minutes brought mine to a mirror shine.
Other than that, the gun is awesome, all the way around. I got mine for $619 on 5/5/2011 (yes, one of the lucky ones) and I often can't believe I got the SR1911 for so cheap. It really does feel like a $800-$1000 gun to me. The quality is awesome!
