RIA Double the fun

I picked up a RIA GI 1911 a while back.
Did not like the flat trigger, replaced it with a nice 3 hole.
Tried an Ed Brown chainlink MSH.
Changed the grips to back double diamonds. No logo.
Had my local smith machine the slide for sights.
Replaced the stock GI sights ( I could barely see the front).
Put on green Novak Fiber optic front and rear.
Then got bored.
My wife got me a RIA Tactical 1911 in 2011. I like that woman.
Swapped some stuff around and decided I liked the GI looking more like a regular GI and the RIA was perfect except those smooth wooden grips from RIA had to go.
I have 2 pairs of those now. The tac model needed a bit of trimming on the right grip due to the ambi safety.
Anyway, lots of talking and here's what I finally ended up with and I'm as happy as can be with both. Freaking accurate I might add.

I could blabber on about the little stuff I did, but here's what I have now.

The only thing else I'd like to do is get a brass bead insert in the front sight on the Tactical model.

Comments, suggestions or whatever is quite welcome.

Cool man I just picked up a gi model myself. The only thing I'm changing is the grips for now. I'm going to pick up acouple of mags after work today if I can find any. 45acp mags seem to be drying up!

Very nice set you have there. I love my RIA. They are a great gun at a really great price.
