Nope. I won't say that its not aggressive but it doesn't bother me either. Actually, I like it.

I hate it on bare skin, it is too aggressive. I would like to lessen it a bit, and that would be nice.

I'm inclined to agree. I have 20lpi checkering on my 1911 and I like it a lot, with AND without gloves. I'm a big fan of extremely aggressive grips. Although, my hands a little bit calloused so the aggressive checkering doesn't hurt my hands at all. I like how the gun feels like it's pretty much locked in place.
But, as with most things firearms related it's all about personal preference.

No gloves. I've used my TRP in a few classes, with no problems.

Matter of fact I just went and shot 200 rounds today and loved it! My TRP is finally starting to break in too.

No. I don't beleive that I have ever shot a handgun with gloves on. I don't own a pair of "shooting gloves". I have shot my deer rifles with gloves on, in the middle of winter sitting in a tree stand all day, but most of the time, if I have a chance to get my shooting hand glove off before making the shot, I do. And my hunting gloves have the ability to let my trigger finger out. My Kimber Raptors and Chuck Rogers golf balled guns are ALOT more aggressive than my 20LPI TRP.
