Auto-Ordnance 1911pkzsew
Hi blogger's,
Well, recently purchased an Auto-Ordnance and absolutely love the darn thing. I did allot of research, watched many videos on this particular 1911. I really wanted a SA lightweight in a 4 to 5 inch barrel. I went to my three local gun shop's, no go at all three. I was told I would have to wait 6 months to one year. I was looking at the (PW9143LP, PX9149LP, or the Ultra Compact, SS),now at a premium, these are almost impossible to find. Ok, now for the auto, picked up on the 20th of this month, took it home, read the instruction manual, then field stripped the weapon for cleaning and familiarization. Fit was on par with zero bur’s on the frame and slide, it was a well-fitted weapon. Action was smooth with zero FTFor FTE (50 rounds total first day). Ammunition used, 230 gr. Ball and 185gr.JHP, feed with ZERO malfunctions. I decided to use Wilson Combat mag’s (47D),lov’um. Recoil was light compared to my 4.5 inch, 45ACP XDM. Overall, I will be buying another soon. Kahr Arms has really stepped it up with quality and reliability; they bought Auto-Ordnance in 2002. I know this is a SA forum, but just an alternative if you want a basic M1911A1. Total for the pistol was $566.89. Buy one!!!!!!
