thinking of having fusion build my dream gun - XDTalk Forums

So Ive been trying do decide on my next 1911. I know its gonna be a 10mm and im really torn between two.

I want a dan wesson CBOB

or

im gonna have Fusion build me a commander length barrel on a officer size frame.

i can only get one and the fusion ill really have lobby with the director of sex and finance for.

the cbob can be found for 1100 ish if you can find one
and bob serva quoted me 1600 for the fusion........

500 dollars is alot of ammo. a cbob is hard to find........aww i dont know what to do.

Patience is a virtue and I dont got any patience.

How long is the wait from Fusion? Do you think you could find a CBOB in the time Fusion can build you a gun? Sounds like you dont mind either one.

i want both....... im stuck in saudi arabia for at least another 6 months so it could be done by the time i get home.

I've got the CBOB in 10mm.

I would not really want to fire full house loads on an Officer's size frame. The CBOB is a handful already with full house loads.

You really can't Bob an Officer BTW.

While you're busy passing out grades on grammer and English, you might want to correct your own first. Bob is a personal noun, the word you used is a verb, and should not start with a capital letter.

As for the OP, buy them both, you only live once.

cannibul how does the cbob carry. im looking for a new daily companion to replace my G19. i love my 1911s but there all goverment size and dont carry well.

The CBOB carries like a full weight Commander. Not my favorite gun to carry. I prefer to carry one of my LW Commander sized pistols. But if I'm in the mood to carry a 10mm then it will be the CBOB as my other two 10mm pistols are both full sized Government frames.

To tell the honest truth it's hard to tell the difference between a Government and a full weight Commander. There's a slight difference in the slide length that causes problems for some people. But as far as the weight goes the difference is not that great.

Fusion makes some beautiful pistols, I think they are going to be responsible for making me a little poorer in the near future
