The TRP is a damn nice gun but that's a bit salty.

I do love the grips on that gun but they sure aren't worth the extra thousand dollars.

If I'm gonna spend that kind of money, it'd be for a VERY personalized 1911; not a slightly modified TRP.

You can buy 3 dan wessons for that and they're all better guns...(I think)
Start with a CBOB and you'll see..

Thanks for all the opinions! I never said I was going to buy it, I just wanted to see if anyone thought it was worth $2750. I am looking for a TRP but I prefer the armory coat finish, I do like the looks of that full length rail though!

It's a beauty, with the quality parts list to justify the price, if that's what floats your boat. But If I was going to spend like that on a custom gun, it would be MY custom gun, to MY specs, not some one else's.

for that money, I'd buy a 5" Kimber TLE or Eclipse II for the range and a Ultra CDP II for Every Day Carry + holsters & extra mags.

I have a CBOB and a slightly custom TRP. Both good guns.

You'd have to love the gun and have an emotional attachment to pay that much for it. I think it's worth more to the seller than a buyer.
