Reassembly dilemma

Do yall hate me yet? Lesson #1 I learned from this, don't try a complete dis/as of a 1911 without someone else to help you along around.

ok anyways my pistol is in a million pieces so I need help.

trying to follow this link Guerrilla Gunsmith --- 1911 Detailed Disassembly for re-assembly.

I get it totally together or so it seems and can't pull the hammer back to allow the safety to be installed. I assume I'm putting one of the springs on the wrong side of something and I can't figure this out, tried it multiple ways so, Sear spring, which way is it supposed to be on the sear when installed? Pretty sure I'm putting it in the wrong place in relation to the sear. Oh trigger is frozen as well. when its like this
Thanks guys.
Tim

We need more laws to protect these three rights. Ban guns in schools, it obviously works.

If everything is in correctly the left arm of the spring (the bent one) should rest on the sear, the middle leg on the disconnector, and the right arm is the one that powers the grip safety. With the spring installed, put the mainspring housing in far enough to capture the spring in the proper place. This will allow you to insert the grip safety & pin. Push the mainsring housing up & install it's pin, then the thumb safety can be installed. Once you have done it a few times, it is easy. Good Luck.

Put the Safety on before you install the MSH.

Be sure that the hammer strut sits in the center of the mainspring cap.

This is a pretty good step-by-step how-to video.

that saved me thank you. Realized from the video the sear spring middle latch was bent wrong, bent it back and I"m good to go.

now I've dis/ased it over 70 times today my new pistol is not so anymore dang. Only love marks that showed up the main spring roll pin that corner left side is a smidgen shiny, and a mark from the pin on the safety on the grip safety.

but the whole thing is loose now. dang.
