I added a EMP to the collection today!!
These are very hard to find these days. I was comparing the EMP and the Kimber Ultra CDP and I bought the EMP. I handled one in a shop on Tuesday and went back today and it was still there so I bought it.
Now I have to wait 10 days to pick it up. I can't wait.

I am thinking of buying an EMP and saw an article. Sorry I can't remember where on the web I found it. It was not a good review. The guy who bought it actually tested the gun at my local range. He was very experienced with 1911 overall but finally had to sell his EMP because of it's unreliability. Just did not feel confident for carry with the issues he was having FTE's and such. I would still like to own one but does worry me some that I might regret it. I have a XD 9 sub that shoots everytime and use for carry. But still would love to have the EMP also. Just a little concerned. I also have read that small 1911's should be avoided. Interested in what you guys have to say also.

California is 10 day wait on any hand gun or long gun and only one hand gun purchase allowed in a 30 day period. Really stinks.

Then there 1 more plus to living in TN. Walked in Sat morn with cash in hand filled out 1 form 3 minutes later walked out with a new XDM. I love not having a wait. Our tax is a booger though.

Wow, I went to a gun show and bought a black stainless Loaded and a LW Operator in less than ten minutes...
Got Bless Texas!
Cheers! M2

I just don't trust a short barreled 1911, but that doesn't mean you can't find a reliable one.

Im thinking about getting one after shooting my stepdads emp 9. Thing shoots GREAT!! Had some FTF issues with the first 100 rounds or so but its been flawless since (FMJ and HP). Im more accurate with it then my xd40 service. I heard that it was built around the 9mm so its not a shortened 1911 but a complete rebuild from what I understand. Someone will correct me if Im wrong.
