Vehicle Printer Mounts?

For those of you printing your citations in your vehicle, what type of mounting solution are you using for your printers? I have seen some that hang on the seat back of the passenger seat but can't find anything like that online. Any suggestions? We just upgraded our software and can print tickets but I'm trying to find a solution to the printer mounting problem for my dept.

Thanks in advance

Depends on the type of printer you are looking to mount, but check here first:

Gamber Johnson

They make THE BEST computer and printer mounts out there that I have EVER seen. They are made right here in Wisconsin, and the customer service is great. Not too expensive, but durable as all hell. We use their printer mounts, and laptop mounts as well.

Most of the mounts, except the armrest of course, can be put on a flat surface, or use U bolts to mount them right to the base of the computer mounts. Only other way I have ever seen it is one company makes a glove box mount, but it takes up the whole glove box, and I cant imagine that it would be very easy to reach.

Any more questions let me know!

If nothing else, take a look at this site:

RAM Mounting Systems, Inc.
http://www.ram-mount.com/pdf/universal.pdf

If they don't happen to make exactly what you're looking for, you might be able to come up with something among all the universal bits and pieces they make.

My buddy took a 1x8 or 10 shelving board, drilled two holes in it, and put 10 inch lag bolts through it and replaced the headrest on the passenger seat. Then, take wide velcro and put it on the board, and the bottom of the printer, and finish with zip ties around each edge of the printer. He did the same thing with three of ours, and it works great. A passenger can still ride and never even know it's there. If you want further info, let me know. I'll try to get photos and send em if you want em.

That sounds pretty sweet. Do you think you could take some pics of it and send em to me? Trying to get something done that we don't have to pay a bunch for.

Thanks

Sorry dude. My six month old son had surgery on his foot and I couldn't leave him alone for 3 minutes today. I promise I'll get it tomorrow.

So the shelve board is 8 or 10" long right? And the lag bolts go into the holes in the top of the seat where the headrest went in before? Wouldn't the shelf be too low for a passenger to sit in the seat as the shelf would be right where their head would be? I guess maybe the pictures will answer my question but if you could clarify in the meantime that would be awesome. Thanks again for your help.
