So Pat, have you contacted Taser to advise them of the incident to see if they have any comment or assistance to offer.

I sent them an email and got a pretty canned response that I was not happy with. They made a lot of excuses and said they need a lot more information. I still like their products but they need to address this flaw.

Alaska, they have addressed this issue. They have presented a new line of Taser XP cartridges. The barbs are heavier, and longer, so as to be able to penetrate a little bit better. The Taser is a tool, just like your asp, baton, oc, spray, cuffs, use of force etc. If one doesnt work, move on to the next one.
And if that doesnt work, just try this one next time:
TASER XREP
If the guy can withstand a 12 gauge less-than-lethal shot, then somethings wrong.
Mike

Mike we have the XP cartridges and they failed. That is what I was using. I covered that in an earlier post.

What brand of OC spray do you guys use Pat? I just bought some sabre red.

Glad it worked out. I'd hate to have to go hands on with a big Kimbo Slice type mother..

Its body guard brand. Honestly it did not really work either it just got his attention. What worked was taking him down to the ground hard enough to knock the wind out of him.
