it's a shame the new Impala is FWD as the 5.3L V8 in the ss model is capable of making those cars go high 13s stock.

Throw a cage, radio gear, shotgun/patrol rifle mount into a Impala and see how much room is available. Hell I can barely get into a police package Crown Vick. At 6'6" I am really glad we have stuck with the Tahoe's.

Impalas are good little speed racers. My only preference for them is because of the Crown Vics pesky little problem of the gas tanks blowing up on rear end collisions. Have they fixed that on the newer models yet? I used to drive the hell out of them, and just hoped to never be rear ended. That sounded wrong...lol

Yeah, they fixed that. I could never be comfortable in an Impala. I'm 6'4" and 310, I need a shoehorn for my Crown Vic.

No, he is correct. There is a movement to grow algae to turn it into green fuel because you can grow it in vertical tank racks exposed to sun light. It eliminates the land problem of having to only scrape the algae off horizontal ponds or growing areas.

Back when I was a trainee (i.e. rookie) the Journeyman had us race each other (other trainees) to the Checkpoint when we were the oncomming to see who could beat the other in Crown Vics with the police package, those things bust 100 without a sweat, gas guzzlers though. Of course, enough people caught wind of it, and the PAIC put his foot down at a muster and put a kabash on it really quick. It was fun while it lasted. When I was a Journeyman, I had a Senior Journeyman who has since retired. Nothing could phase this guy. I was working highway with him, and another guy freaks out on the radio, convinced he is pulling over a load of dope and is yelling for backup. I flipped the red and blues and hauled ass at a good 100mph plus because we were closest. This guy was as cool as a cucumber, and just looks over me and says, "Pard, the thing about going 100 miles an hour in these government vehicles, is the tires may not be so good. Bring it down a little." He said it like he was having a casuaul conversation, nothing ever got to him. Still ammuses me to this day...
