Ethanol is a HUGE mistake. It's contributing to the rise in food prices because of the corn usage.

plus the fact that farmers are gonna grow corn instead of other needed food like grain and such, because corn will be worth more to them

The City I work for uses a lot of small vehicles (Focus, Prius, Fit, Escape) for everything besides Parks*Rec dept and Police Patrol vehicles... Patrol Vehicles will always have to be full size cars or SUVS (We have about 30 Tahoe's as patrol vehicles) due to the need to put a subj in custody in the back of the vehicle... You just cant fit a subj and all the necessary gear (computers, radar, radios, spot lights, cameras, etc, etc) and an officer and a subj into a small car like a Prius, Smart-Car or others....

A lot of time the corn goes to waste also not even making it to get made into fuel. They do it for the subsidies that the .gov gives out for doing that kind of stuff.

I saw a documentry the other day where they are trying to supliment biofuel with algae, because it is easy to grow and is less expensive than corn. I suppose that makes sense, you can eat corn, but who in their right mind would eat algae? So, it would have only one purpose.

I think you are thinking of seaweed. Algae is that kind of scum you get in ponds, or if you don't clean your fish tank.
