Im thinking real hard about getting back into the path that was my dream for as long as I can remember of becoming an LEO. My father is a Captain for a local department here and has been an LEO for 28 years (I'm 26)
I was thinking over every aspect of the job that I could think of last night on my 4 hour drive home from Vegas (I was there for the Baker to Vegas LEO relay race) and I think that the Los Angeles Port Police suits me the best. I love the ocean/water, I am a PADI certified Rescue Diver, Ive been driving boats since I was 6, and the option of a K-9 is super appealing. So, does anyone on here have any experience or information about Port Police? The more I look into it, the more appealing it sounds for me. The $60k/year starting doesnt sound bad either!! |
