No way I would do it....I would like to see how well that works when trying to control somebody who is not on roller blades.

That seems like an entirely ineffective way to subdue someone...sure, they'll catch up to you...then you just knock 'em over and watch them struggle to get back up.

Isn't the goal of a cop to not end up on the ground???? The only way to control a subject like that is wrestling on the ground, and thats not safe.

Mr. Mayor it gives our police officers a commanding presence by lifting them up 4" just like standing up a step. They look like fools, and are, but hey that are "commanding" fools.

At the airport at Christmas I saw a cop on a Segway, that almost made sense. Every in shape cop got one apparently, a perk for being in shape I suppose.
