Public Safety Officers' Benefits (PSOB) Program

I was looking up some info on grants and came across this. I am sure some of you have heard of this, but I don't remember anyone mentioning this.

Public Safety Officers' Benefits (PSOB) Program

Online application

Enacted in 1976, the Public Safety Officers’ Benefits (PSOB) Act gives death, disability and educational assistance to family members. As of October 1, 2007, the benefit amount is $303,064. Some state like Pennsylvania have similar benefit programs. Illinois I think continue paying the medical insurance for the spouse until they remarry and waives certain educational expenses for dependents.

Gold information...

Fantastic find.. I am going to review it more in detail this coming weekend! If it turns out to be what it appears to be, then Excellent find!!!! Especially for those of us who really dont have much in the way of a good benefits program with our current agencies!
