It would be too dangerous to chase the dude. He presents too much of a hazard to other drivers and chasing him would obviously cause him to be more reckless. I'd try to get a plate and run him down later.

Here's a twist to this type of story, they caught one!

Motorcyclist caught speeding at 164 mph

Motorcyclist caught speeding at 164 mph

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon State Police say they've never seen a faster speeder -- 164 mph on Interstate 5.
And on a motorcycle.
And the evidence of the precise speed came from a video camera attached to the bike and aimed at the speedometer.
Senior Trooper Jeff Leighty says he was off-duty Sunday north of Eugene when the motorcycle zoomed between his unmarked car and another vehicle.
He says he radioed the license plate to troopers down the road.
Police arrested 37-year-old Eugene resident Ben Howard Kelley on a charge of reckless driving.
Leighty calls it "absolute insanity."
He adds that some speeders have boasted of going faster, but this is the top speed the police can verify.

I found out about one rider in the most unfortunate way. We figured he was doing over 160 when he blew through the intersection in nowhereville. Problem was a mini van traveling north was going through the section at the same time he blew the stop sign. The bike went through the van killing mom and one child. The biker flew through the air 40 some odd feet from the van. We thought he was alive until EMS put oxygen on him. I'll save the details for another time.

These types of guys who recklessly endanger everyone else should have the book the book thrown at them.

"organ donor"?

I wouldn't want his organs... they're no good after they've been tenderized.

that's well fast for an r6! a buck twenty feels fast in a car...i couldn't imagine trying to hold on and avoid traffic on a bike.

i'm all for speed, but not really into endangering others...dude should take those skills to a track.

I've owned several crotch rockets over the years, I now own a Ducati 900ss and I've ridden very fast (155 mph top) but only on occasions where it was possible, there was no traffic and for very short distances and even then something could go wrong. That guy took more deadly chances than I could count, I would say you only get one chance, but it's not really true you get zero chances to make a mistake at that speed, because the first mistake at that speed will definitely be the last!

I worked for a Motorcycle shop when I was in my 20's and we got allot of LEO's in as customers and I was told that policy was just to hang back and wait until they crash because they always do.

I personally would rather carve corners in the hills anyday!

Lemme guess, the guy in the vid had no brain bucket? But, if he was doing that he probably didn't have anything worth protecting anyway. No point in pursuing, much like outrunning a bullet, you can run but only get tired. Radio waves go faster than 150 mph. He has to run out of gas eventually, then lose that very expensive bike, go to jail, spend more money on a lawyer, and get a wonderful whoping fine-that is if he lives through it....
