+1 on that!

One of my last acts on the job was as FTO for a new guy. On his third day, we had a short (very short - like one block) chase before the driver pulled over. FNG gets so excited he unseats, jumps out of the CV and storms over to the drivers side. I'm sitting in the passengers seat, watching as the car starts to S...L...O...W...L...Y roll forward. I reach over and slide the gear shift it into neutral.

FNG comes back because he forgot his book. I point to the gear shift....he turns red....I point to the P for Park and ask him to please shift it next time BEFORE he exits the vehicle.....
