I looked up some of the dumb laws for Indiana and found this one.
You can get out of paying for a dependent's medical care by praying for him/her. I'll have to remember that the next time one of my kids has a hospital visit. LOL

A lot of strange laws are made to stop one particular thing, and made sense when they were drawn up.
Sometimes, the only way to stop something that the public doesn't like is to make it illegal. For instance, in Tennessee it is illegal to sell, offer for sale, barter or give away baby chickens, ducklings or goslings of any age, or rabbits under two months of age, as pets, toys, premiums or novelties, if those fowl or rabbits have been colored, dyed, stained or otherwise had their natural color changed. When the law was written, people selling dyed (red, green, etc.) animals was a big nuisance, so they made it illegal. I still haven't come across it yet... MAYBE THE LAW WORKED. lol

Rule of Thumb
Can any LEO's from Indiana confirm that the Rule of Thumb is still on the books? (is it a city ordinance perhaps in Indianapolis?)

The city where I work has a "dark skies" ordinance. Only one streetlight per block and if your house or business has too many lights, you can be cited. Too much light is defined as "so much light as to not be able to see the stars."
We at the police department refer to this as the "Burglar's Security Ordinance," or B.S. Law for short.

I am not sure if it is still there or not, but growing up I remember us finding out that if we rode a horse to school the would have to house and feed it while we were there.

Yeah but the no gun, cannon or explosive at a wedding is a good rule, its such a pain in the ass when one side is trigger happy and the other family isn't. Freaking people out is a bad thing.
