Gear question

My current duty gear is all leather... just about everyone else uses the cordura gear... I was wondering how often should i clean my leather gear and what products are good for keeping my gear intact... I've asked around but unfortunately everyone I work with uses that nylon gear so they wouldnt have to worry about upkeep so they really have no clue.

Well my holster probably does not see as much action as yours
but i have asked this before and the only answer i got back was that the one guy who responded never cleaned his in like 3-4 years and it was holding up really well so unless it is visibly dirty i would not worry about it

if its not broke dont fix it....thats what ive been told. you can always use leather conditioner, just to assure it stays nice and soft inside on the gun.

I use nylon for patrol these days, but back when I did use leather I cleaned it about once a month with Kiwi saddle soap and polished it with regular Kiwi boot polish.

Just followed the directions on the can.

+1 on this - all my leather stuff gets a once over about every 3 months or so. Works out real well.
